Fractional Microneedling RF

Description of the treatment

Fractional radiofrequency is an advanced lifting and regenerating treatment that uses radio wave energy to thicken the skin, improve its tension, and stimulate intense collagen production.

During the treatment, the device emits microthermal zones in the deeper layers of the skin (without damaging the epidermis), triggering natural renewal processes. The result is noticeably firmer, smoother, and more radiant skin.

This treatment is dedicated to those who want to improve skin quality, reduce wrinkles, tighten pores, or decrease the visibility of acne scars.

How does fractional radiofrequency work?

RF technology works by precisely heating tissues at a controlled depth, which:

  • contracts existing collagen fibers (immediate tightening effect)
  • stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin (cumulative effect)
  • thickens the skin and improves its elasticity
  • smooths the skin texture, reducing pores and fine wrinkles

The treatment does not require breaking the epidermis – therefore, the healing period is short, and the treatment comfort is high.

Indications for the treatment:

✅ loss of firmness and elasticity of the skin
✅ wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, and marionette lines

Frequently asked questions

Is the treatment painful?

The sensations depend on individual sensitivity, but most people describe the treatment as moderately noticeable.
It is not a significant pain, but you may feel:

  • intense heat,
  • gentle 'pulsing’,
  • the effect of warming deeper tissues.

Sensitivity increases with:

  • thin, dehydrated skin
  • treatments around the lips or jawline
  • higher energy parameters

If the skin is particularly sensitive, external anesthesia may be applied — although it is usually not necessary.

Can I return to work after the treatment?

Yes. The following may be visible:

  • redness,
  • slight warmth of the skin,
  • subtle swelling.

Symptoms usually subside within a few hours, at most up to 24 hours.

How long do the effects last?

The effects gradually increase, as collagen production lasts 4–8 weeks.
They last on average:
6–12 months,
depending on age, skin quality, and lifestyle.

How many treatments do I need?

The recommended series is:
3–5 treatments every 3–4 weeks.
For scars or significant sagging, even 6–8 treatments may be needed.

Does the skin peel after the treatment?

With classic needle-free RF, usually not.
Minor peeling may occur if:
– higher parameters were used,
– the skin was previously dehydrated,
– a peeling or other treatments were performed simultaneously.
Peeling is mild and lasts 1–3 days.

Can radiofrequency be combined with Botox and fillers?

Yes, but with special caution.

The treatment should not be performed directly on fresh fillers or threads, as high temperatures may affect their stability.

The recommended interval is:

  • 2–4 weeks after Botox,
  • 4–6 weeks after hyaluronic acid,
  • 8–12 weeks after lifting threads.

Is the treatment safe for thin and delicate skin?

Yes — thanks to temperature control and no disruption of the epidermis, RF is one of the safer technologies for thin skin.
Additionally, it has a thickening effect, improving the quality of such skin.

Does the treatment reduce pores?

Yes.
RF affects the contraction of collagen fibers surrounding the hair follicle opening, leading to the narrowing and smoothing of pores.

Does RF help with acne scars?

Yes — it is one of the best non-invasive solutions.
Radio waves remodel the skin structure, stimulate fibroblasts and tissue repair, leading to the flattening of scars and smoothing of texture.

Can the treatment be performed with active acne?

No. An active inflammatory state is a contraindication because heat can exacerbate the inflammatory response and increase the risk of complications.

Does RF help with discoloration?

Yes — indirectly.
Technology:

  • evens out skin tone,
  • improves skin quality,
  • stimulates regeneration.

However, it does not replace strictly depigmenting treatments (such as medical peels or laser).

Can I exercise after the treatment?

It is recommended to avoid intense physical activity for 24 hours to prevent swelling and not raise skin temperature.

When should the treatment not be performed?

We advise against the treatment if:

  • you have an infection (cold, fever),
  • you have recently been in intense sunlight,
  • you are using retinoids or strong acids,
  • you are undergoing dermatological therapy,
  • you have metal implants in the treatment area.

Does the treatment provide a lifting effect?

Yes — due to the shortening of collagen fibers and their intense remodeling.
The effect gradually increases and is very natural.
