What is laser hair removal?
LightSheer® laser hair removal is one of the most effective methods of long-lasting hair reduction. The treatment is performed using the LightSheer Desire medical diode laser (808 nm), which acts on the melanin in the hair and damages the hair follicle in the growth (anagen) phase – that is why a series is needed.
The laser works selectively – it targets the hair follicle while sparing the surrounding skin. Results depend on skin phototype and hair colour – very light, grey or red hair responds poorly, and we say so honestly at the consultation. Most clients notice thinner, slower-growing hair after a few sessions.
A full series of usually 8–10 sessions gives a long-lasting smooth-skin effect. Some clients need 1–2 maintenance sessions per year. Before the first treatment, each person is invited for a free phone consultation, during which an individual treatment plan is tailored.

Shaving the area with a razor the day before the treatment. Avoiding sun and tanning for 2 weeks before. Photosensitizing medications – tell us at the consultation; do not stop prescribed medication on your own.

Contraindications for the treatment
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Active infection or inflammation of the skin in the treatment area

- Current oral isotretinoin (a break is needed after finishing it)
- To discuss at the consultation: photosensitizing medications, diabetes, vitiligo, keloid tendency, recurrent herpes, hormonal disorders (e.g. PCOS)

After a full series, most hairs do not grow back; those that do are usually thinner and lighter. Some clients need 1–2 maintenance sessions per year to maintain the effect.

Avoid sun and tanning for 2 weeks before and after the treatment and use SPF 50+ afterwards.
