About the treatment

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) –
what it is and how it works?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a preparation obtained from the patient's blood, rich in platelets, growth factors, and substances that activate natural skin regeneration processes. Due to its biocompatibility, PRP is completely safe and minimizes the risk of allergic reactions.

After a small amount of blood is drawn, it is centrifuged in a special centrifuge. The prepared plasma is then introduced into the skin via needle mesotherapy or point injections. The growth factors contained in the plasma stimulate cells to renew, produce collagen, and improve skin elasticity and density.

Results are visible after the first treatment – full collagen reconstruction appears after 3–4 weeks and lasts from several months to a year.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about platelet-rich plasma

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a preparation obtained from the patient's own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors. When introduced into the skin, it stimulates collagen production and natural tissue regeneration. It is one of the safest biostimulation treatments – without foreign substances.

It is usually recommended to perform a series of 3–4 treatments every 3–4 weeks. After completing the series, it is advisable to have maintenance treatments every 6–12 months. The frequency is always tailored individually.

The price of the PRP treatment depends on the area and protocol. A precise quote is provided after the consultation. Check the current price list or ask us directly.

The effects are visible after the first treatment. Full collagen rebuilding occurs after 3–4 weeks and lasts from several months to a year. Regular maintenance treatments help to preserve the effects longer.

PRP mainly contains platelets and growth factors in liquid form. Fibrin iPRF is a more advanced preparation – it additionally contains stem cells, leukocytes, and monocytes, creating a biological 'scaffold' under the skin with a longer regenerative effect.

The treatment may cause discomfort, especially in individuals with a low pain threshold. However, the use of a numbing cream makes it well tolerated. The sensations can be compared to a gentle pinching or a feeling of warmth.
